5. Sharing and Disclosure
Snap CV may share information:

- With service providers that operate hosting, databases, storage, email, SMS, maps, security, diagnostics, and support.
- When legally required, including valid subpoenas, court orders, warrants, or other legal process.
- When necessary to protect users, the public, Snap CV, or others from abuse, exploitation, threats, fraud, or security incidents.
- As part of a business transfer, reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
6. Third-Party Services
Snap CV may use third-party services, including Google SSO for sign-in, Mailjet for transactional email, Twilio for phone verification or SMS delivery, hosting and infrastructure providers, storage/database providers, and maps or tile providers. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services and may have their own policies.
7. Voice Messages and Media
Photos, videos, voice messages, profile images, snaps, stories, and other media may be processed for upload, storage, playback, delivery, thumbnails, safety, moderation, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
8. Location Sharing and Ghost Mode
Location sharing is optional. If enabled, Snap CV may process coordinates, approximate location, map-sharing scope, selected friends, timestamps, and related location settings. You can use controls such as Ghost Mode, friend-only sharing, selected sharing, or disabling location sharing. Do not share location if doing so would create a safety risk.
9. Phone Verification
Snap CV may collect phone numbers and verification records to confirm accounts and reduce abuse. Phone numbers are not intended to be public profile information. SMS delivery may be handled by Twilio or another verification provider.
10. Public Profiles and Referral Links
Public profiles, usernames, display names, avatars, bios, posts, referral links, and referral attribution may be visible to other users or the public depending on your settings and how you share them. Public profiles may also include user-provided social links, website links, interests, country flag, and badges. A phone verification badge means a phone number was verified; it does not display your phone number.
11. Outbound Links
Snap CV may show a warning before opening public profile website links. If link click metadata is collected, it is limited to basic operational information such as timestamp, destination hostname, referring profile, and abuse-prevention signals. Snap CV does not include private messages, private media, phone numbers, or email addresses in outbound link warnings.
12. Safety and Abuse Reporting
Reports may include the reporter, reported user or content, reason, details, timestamps, and related context. Snap CV uses reports to investigate abuse, enforce the Terms and Rules, protect users, and improve safety. Reporters are not shown publicly.
13. Law Enforcement Requests
Snap CV may preserve and disclose information when legally required or when necessary to protect users, the public, or the service. Illegal abuse, exploitation, threats, or serious safety issues may be reported to appropriate authorities. Snap CV intends to cooperate with valid legal requests.
14. Data Retention
Snap CV retains information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce rules, prevent abuse, preserve security, and support legitimate operations. Retention periods vary by data type and may be longer where legal, safety, backup, or audit reasons apply.
15. User Choices
You can update profile details, privacy settings, notification settings, location sharing, blocked users, account data export, and account deletion controls in the app where available. Browser controls may let you clear cookies or local storage, though some features may stop working.
16. Download/Delete Data
Snap CV provides app controls to download account data and request account deletion. Deletion may disable or hide your account and remove or anonymize information where practical, subject to legal, safety, backup, fraud prevention, and operational retention needs.
17. Children's Privacy
Snap CV is not intended for children under 13. Users must also meet any higher minimum age required where they live. If Snap CV learns that it collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, Snap CV will take steps to delete it.
18. Security
Snap CV uses safeguards such as HTTPS, password hashing, secure tokens, access controls, rate limits, and monitoring designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee complete security.
19. International Users
Snap CV is operated from the United States. If you use Snap CV from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other places where service providers operate.
20. No Sale of Personal Information
Snap CV does not sell personal information.
